MY WHY

HERE TO SERVE

One day, none of this will matter the way we think it does.

We won't take the house with us. We won't take the cars. We won't take the things we spent years accumulating or the things we thought we couldn't live without. But while we're here, we have something incredibly precious that we can hold onto:

We have memories.

We have the stories of where we came from. The people who loved us. The prayers that carried us. The celebrations. The ordinary Tuesday afternoons. The weddings. The babies. The grandparents. The people who were here before us and the people who will come after us.

And eventually, our memories become part of someone else's story.

I'm believe I'm not just documenting a singular day or weekend for a couple.

I believe I'm documenting something that may one day be looked at by their children and grandchildren...

Maybe even generations of people who will never have the chance to meet the people in those photographs.

I believe that's legacy.

Scripture reminds us to remember, to tell the stories, to pass down what God has done from one generation to the next.

"We will not hide these things from their children, but tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD… so that the next generation might know them." Psalm 78:4-7

Photos that say:

“This is where we came from.

These are the people who loved us.

This is the life they built.

This is the love they shared.

This is part of our story.”

We can't take anything with us when we leave this earth.

But while we're here, we can serve others.

We can love deeply,

we can live intentionally,

and we can tell our stories.
